How the UAE Week Decides the Slot

The country moved to a Saturday and Sunday weekend, which puts it out of step with most of its neighbours. Scheduling has to follow the local week, not a regional assumption.

Friday closes it

Friday evening is the last school night of the week. Nothing is due the next morning, which makes it the slot families ask about before any other.

Four hours ahead

The clock sits four hours ahead of UTC and never changes for summer. A slot agreed in September still means the same hour the following June.

Emirate makes no odds

Teaching online means the emirate you live in does not limit which specialist is available. The same team covers all seven of them.

The team is based in the Emirates and works to the local week. A Friday evening lesson is an ordinary working evening here, not a favour squeezed into someone’s night.

Getting Started From Any of the Emirates

01

Say where and what

The emirate, the subject, the year group and the board. The emirate only matters for timing, never for which tutors you can reach.

02

We name someone

A specialist chosen for the subject and board, with their name and background to you inside 24 hours.

03

Lock the weekly hour

Pick a weekday evening or a weekend morning. The slot repeats all year, with no clock change to work around.

National questions

Questions From Across the Emirates

Which emirates do you actually teach in?

All seven. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah have their own pages. Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain are covered on exactly the same terms.

Which days are the weekend here, and does it matter?

Saturday and Sunday, which is why Friday evening is the last school night. It matters a lot, because much of the region rests on Friday and Saturday instead.

What time zone do you quote slots in?

UAE local time, four hours ahead of UTC, with no summer change. We never quote a UK hour and leave you to convert it yourself.

Does living in a smaller emirate limit the choice?

No, and this is the main reason families go online. A specialist in your exact subject and board may not live nearby, but can still teach you weekly.

Which exam boards do your tutors cover?

AQA and Pearson Edexcel across thirteen subjects. Schools here pick the board subject by subject, so tell us the subject and the board together.

Do you teach outside the UAE as well?

Yes, across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, plus Egypt and parts of Asia. Each family’s lessons are set in their own local time.

Are weekend morning lessons any good?

For many students they are the best hour of the week. Saturday and Sunday mornings are quiet, nothing is rushed, and attention is usually sharper than a weekday evening.

How fast can a tutor be in place?

A name reaches you within 24 hours and most first lessons run inside the week. Agreeing a slot that suits is normally the slowest part.
